Walt Whitman: The Commercialization of his Name, Poetry, and Image in Modern Society

This exhibit will explore and showcase dozens of artifacts that depict and/or reference Walt Whitman in popular culture and the fine arts from the 1880s to today. Collector and Ed Centeno will be displaying just a portion of his vast collection of artifacts commercializing the image and writings of Walt Whitman, including political and social posters, cigar boxes, comic books, television advertisements, fashion magazines, music, postcards, matchbooks, original commissions and more.

Wednesdays-Fridays, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Sundays 12 p.m.-3 p.m.
