Wednesday, October 25, 5~7PM - Intro to keeping a sketchbook/art journal: This is a fantastic way to begin this slower season! Leila Freijy will inspire you to begin (or continue) keeping a sketchbook diary of daily activities, big and small. This is a wonderful way to be more aware of the world around us, and the sights that shape our days. All materials provided. Bring your own photos to reference for art journalling.
Wednesday, November 1st and Wednesday November 8th, 5~7PM - Basket-making with Cheryl Podgorsky: This simple basket-making activity will result in a beautiful basket to take home, plus all the knowledge you need to continue making your own baskets at home...and just in time to think about Christmas gift-giving!
Wednesday, November 15, 5~7PM - Fairy Doors with Christine McKenna: Basic materials will be provided, as well as plenty of instruction, guidance and inspiration. If you have buttons or beads, stones or other natural materials you'd like to consider, bring them along. We're considering a display of our finished fairy doors down the main street this fall.
Wednesday, November 29th. 5~7PM - Audrey VanDyke will present 'Memory Ornaments, tree ornaments and gift tags.' We will start with unfinished wood cutouts of Christmas ornaments, ready to be embellished. The participants will use paints and stickers to decorate ornaments, with intent to honor a person that is missed this holiday season. Bring a small photo to glue on if you like. Then pick out several more to paint and decorate to hang wherever you like, or to use as personalized gift tags for presents. This class is open to all ages, though children should be accompanied by a parent.
