Yin classes have never been as important as they are now! The World Health Org says the #1 disability on the planet is anxiety and during these intense and changing times, people are more stressed than ever. What is the antidote? William’s Yin class! Not only will you become more physically flexible because we’ll be stretching connective tissue every class, but perhaps even more importantly, you will learn how to breathe efficiently and how to get your body into the most important parasympathetic state! Have you ever wondered how Alex Honnold can free solo El Capitan and keep his fear in check? The anchor to learning to stay “grounded” and calm in difficult life situations, is breath.
In this class, William will guide you and help you practice healthier breathing techniques while also pushing you to take your stretches to the deepest place without injuring your body. This class is a FABULOUS way to end the weekend as it is very slow, methodical & nourishing. Many students say they feel “Yintoxicated” after class as it will hopefully bring you to a super calm and blissful state. This Yin class consists of a combination of challenging asanas, (poses meant to stretch connective tissue/fascia) breath work, and meditation practice.
Class themes are often around self-love and acceptance with the intention of helping students facilitate self-discovery and personal growth. In addition to amazing physical benefits, William’s Yin classes help to inspire students to push through “stuck” places, facilitate healing, and learn how to better connect with our bodies. When we learn how to master breath and connect with our body, we are able to let go of pain, grief, stress, and anxiety. Goal - to find happiness, peace & acceptance.
