Lead Climbing

This is THE class for individuals interested in entering the exciting world of lead climbing! Since this discipline is so extensive, we broken it up into two sessions.

  • The first session includes fundamental lead climbing skills like proper clipping methods, identifying dangerous foot placements, mock leading, mock lead belaying, rope management.
  • During the second session, you can expect actual leading (both climbing and belaying) plus a strong emphasis on performing and catching falls. This clinic is a MUST for anyone looking to advance their skills and become a lead climber.

Participants must have received their belay certification at a Touchstone gym and be experienced top rope climbers who can easily climb 5.11a and on-sight 5.10+.
