Downtown Ashland Association is collecting public input on the concept of a Railroad Park during January. Online survey open until January 30: bit.ly/RRParkSurvey
We suggest creating a permanent walking tour through Downtown Ashland, presented as a series of small parks. Each park or exhibit would tell a piece of Ashland's railroad story, from the 1830s through today. The goal is for the Railroad Park to showcase our town's unique story and to increase foot traffic to support local businesses.
March 5, we will report the results of the online survey and discussion meeting. The meeting will discuss next steps and encourage volunteer involvement.
