Join us for an author visit with Helena María Viramontes, distinguished professor and author of The Moths and Other Stories and two novels: Under the Feet of Jesus and Their Dogs Came with Them. Her powerful novel Under the Feet of Jesus explores the dangerous living and working conditions migrant workers face in California’s fields—as well as the strength and perseverance the characters exhibit through their experiences. Further topics presented in the novel include: healthcare, environmental justice, love, loss, sense of belonging and Chicana Feminism.
