Progressive Dinner: Dining under the Harvest Moon

What is a Progressive Dinner?

It is a dinner party with successive courses at the residences of neighborhood hosts. Initially, we all gather at a host home for appetizers. We then split into smaller groups for salad, then on to another home with a different group of diners for our entrees. Finally, we come together at the end of the evening at the last home for dessert, coffee and the chance to really unwind from a night of hosting!

Each progressive dinner has had a theme. This year’s theme is: “Dining under the Harvest Moon.”

We will celebrate with interesting salads, savory butcher shop cuts of meat, buttery roasted root veggies, crusty bread and scrumptious desserts with wine pairings for each course. Think comfort food à la gourmet!

Traditionally we have had 10 volunteers to host the salad course and 10 volunteers to host the entree course. Volunteer homes can expect between six to 12 folks per house, depending upon your ability to accommodate.

Salad hosts will receive one $50 ticket in appreciation. Entree hosts will receive two $50 tickets in appreciation of your generous offers to host.

Please let us know if you are interested in hosting a course by emailing Maggie Stewart at Save the date!
