The committee working on the House and Garden Tour (that will now take place in the Spring of 2020) has organized this event as a way to cultivate social connection in our community. It will provide opportunity for current members of GPRA and prospective members of our community who might like to participate to meet together in a casual atmosphere and learn more about our organization.
The GPRA membership now includes only a fraction of the potential of some 800 households. We feel strongly that our organization is a vital and necessary part of what can make us even stronger and more appealing as a neighborhood.
As a committee we are committed to making the House and Garden Tour in 2020 an amazing and successful event and see this effort as a way to launch that project. We are very fortunate to have secured the services of an impressive wine distributor, John Grimsley, to provide us with an array of wines that should make it a very special opportunity for all.
Le Storie Wines is a small, Richmond-based importer and distributor of small-production wines from family-owned farms. The partners, one of whom lives in Ginter Park, are from Richmond.
One of their missions is to build and strengthen the community of producers, importers and distributors, and consumers that the industry is built around and a big part of their success in this endeavor is being active in the communities of their customers.
Please join us for an evening of tasting and education as we sample a selection of wines. We will explore many regions and you will find grapes you have never heard of—wines from Michelin-starred restaurants in Washington DC, New York, San Francisco, Rome, and Paris—and a hidden gem or two that you can find in your neighborhood.
