Free Salary Negotiation Workshop for Women

In the United States, women earn around 82 cents for every dollar a man earns. One reason for this inequity is that women do not negotiate salaries when offered jobs. In other words, women are paid less because they don’t ask for more. Here is your chance to learn how to negotiate a salary, whether you are starting a new job, transitioning to a new one, or feel you are under paid in your current job – for FREE!

The Waterville Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) is offering this salary negotiation workshop to highlight and combat the need for Equal Pay Day. Equal Pay Day is the date when women’s wages catch up to men’s in the previous year. On April 2, 2022, women will have earned the same amount of money that men earned in 2021, indicating that women are financially four months behind men.
