In the Slow Stitching Vessels class, artist Chrissy Hollamby will be guiding you through the lovely process of creating your own vessel - a very individual work of art! Slow stitching is simply taking a piece of fabric, needle and thread and using simple stitch marks upon the textile, following the the flow of your fabric, your mind, your thought process. There is no set pattern to follow, no stitching lines to mark up, so you really can't do it wrongly!
Instead, you learn to listen to your innate sense of creativity and allow your hands to guide you. It can provide a sense of community and connection with others who also enjoy the practice, and allows us all to slow down. The most common stitch used for slow stitching is running stitch - this is the simplest of stitches, and a very easy stitch to master.
