Zonta Club of Metropolitan Dunedin are thrilled to have Dr Siouxsie Wiles MNZM an award winning microbiologist and science communicator at the Auckland University join us in a conversation style setting.
Dr Siouxsie Wiles has been harassed and threatened for her communication efforts during the pandemic. She will be openly talking about the threats and harassment she received during the pandemic response, which she still encounters on a regular basis, and discusses how she has managed these.
Social Media and digital abuse is very real. For Siouxsie Wiles, the abuse extends beyond just social media.
The event will close with audience Q+A

Through the Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women campaign, our members and allies stand together, uniting our voices to advocate for all those who have suffered gender-based violence.
