Otago Museum Dress Collection Tour (1pm, 2pm, 3pm)
By Otago Museum

In partnership with ID Fashion, Tūhura Otago Museum is offering an exclusive basement tour of the dress collections; showcasing the fascinating, intricate and extravagant items garnered throughout history.

Take a rare behind-the-scenes look into the Dress Collection storerooms at Otago Museum. Get an idea of the extent of the collection and view some highlights such as 1920s beaded dresses, a 19th century French designer bodice, and early 19th century shoes.

One of New Zealand's foremost historical dress experts and Honorary Curator for the dress collection, Dr Jane Malthus, and Moira White, Curator, Humanities, will show you these treasures and tell you the stories behind the garments.

Bookings required.
