How to Paint
By Dunedin WEA

Acrylic paint is easy to work with, and a great option when you are beginner as you’ll find on this two day course with experienced tutor and artist Nancy McLennan Hughes. It dries quickly and there are many ways in which you can paint with it, from watercolour effects, through to nearly looking like oil paint. It also lends itself to plenty of playful experimentation, which we will do lots of. You'll come away with knowing how to take a painting from start to finish!

If the class is full but you would like to be added to the waiting list, please email Nicola at dunedinwea@gmail.com or add yourself to the waiting list here on BookWhen.

This course is kindly funded by COGS, Lottery Community and the Otago Community Trust.

Materials provided, but if you have your own acrylic paints, favourite brushes or supports/boards, you are welcome to bring these along.

All students agree to comply with DWEA terms and conditions, and to comply with any SDCN Covid policies if these are required at the time of this class.

The cost is $80 for the 2 day course. Please note that this is due at least 7 days before the start date of your class. This is payable by credit card via Paypal or internet banking. If you are enrolling less than 7 days before the class starts, please pay immediately.

If you have a Community Services Card, the fee is reduced by 50% to $40. In this case, please email your name, address and phone number to dunedinwea@gmail.com stating which course you want to enrol in, including a photo or scan of your Community Services Card. We will enrol you and you can then pay the discounted price by internet banking.
