Beginners Amigurumi Crochet

'Amigurumi' (pronounced a-me-gu-roo-mi), is the Japanese word for the art of making stuffed dolls and toys. In this course with our talented crochet tutor, Tammy Prescott, you will learn the basics of Amigurumi while creating fun beginner projects.

The course will cover the following:

-Pattern reading
-Magic circles
-Working in the round
-Increasing and decreasing
-Placing eyes/ adding features
-Managing toy stuffing

All materials will be provided.

Course requirements:

To do this course you will need to be confident in the following crochet skills:
-foundation chain
-single crochet

Materials provided. All students agree to comply with DWEA terms and conditions, and to comply with any SDCN Covid policies if these are required at the time of this class.
The cost is $80 for the 6 week course. Please note that this is due at least 7 days before the start date of your class. This is payable by credit card via Paypal or internet banking. If you are enrolling less than 7 days before the class starts, please pay immediately.

If you have a Community Services Card, the fee is reduced by 50% to $40. In this case, please email your name, address and phone number to dunedinwea@gmail.com stating which course you want to enrol in, including a photo or scan of your Community Services Card. We will enrol you and you can then pay the discounted price by internet banking.
