Orange Shirt Day at SAIT
By Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

Orange Shirt Day is an opportunity to reflect on the residential school experience and honour those taken, the survivors and their families. Join the SAIT community for a live-streamed event as we continue the important process of reconciliation with host Heather Magotiaux, Vice President, External Relations.

Residential school survivor Elder Chief Vincent Yellow Old Woman will share his story, take questions from attendees and host a vigil in memory of those who never made it home. Registrants will also have the opportunity to support Indigenous learners in financial need at SAIT by donating to the Kohkoms Kahsagahetin Endowment Fund or the Métis Education Foundation Endowment Fund. A limited supply of “Every Child Matters” t-shirts will also be available for purchase with proceeds supporting the Kohkoms Kahsagahetin Endowment Fund.

Register, donate and purchase an orange shirt and download your Orange Shirt Day virtual background.

Please note: SAIT is closed on Thursday, Sept. 30 to observe National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
