Join us for an hour of Trash Talkin’ as we present SAIT’s Waste Streaming Do’s and Don’ts.

Our guest speaker, Keith Hanna with Waste Management, will share industry insider details and how your choice in bin disposal can make a big difference.

Here’s what you can expect to take away from the event:

• Understand the recycling symbol and how it doesn’t always mean its recyclable.
• Learn what to do with a chip bags, pizza boxes, snack packaging, and coffee cups.
• Learn how to properly handle mixed recycling before tossing it into the recycling bin. Hint: you don’t have to sanitize it!
• Find out where napkins, paper towel and tissues go, including ones with cleaning agents on them.
• Learn about where the funds from the bottles collected on campus go towards.
