The St. Patty’s Day Dash previously known as Dash Down Greenville 5K is an annual event sponsored by Racing Systems. The route includes rolling closures; streets will close 15 minutes ahead of participants and reopen as the last participant passes through. The 5K race starts at 8 a.m. at 5200 Greenville Avenue (south of Lovers Lane). It will proceed north on Greenville Avenue, right on Caruth Haven Lane, left on Southwestern Boulevard, right on Skillman Street, right on E. University Boulevard, right on Greenville Avenue in the two northbound curb lanes, back to 5200 Greenville Avenue, where it will finish and disperse. Food and beverage (alcoholic) will be provided. Streets will reopen immediately after the last runner except for northbound Greenville Avenue which will remain closed. Setup at Central Market’s parking lot will begin at 9 a.m. on March 11 with the erection of a stage (30’x20’42”) and tents (ten – 10’x10’ and four – 10’x20’). Teardown and street closure apparatus will be complete by 11 a.m.
