‘Welford Park’s show of snowdrops is truly magnificent’ Country Life

Welford Park, Berkshire, is renowned for its magnificent white snowdrops throughout the beech woods resembling a carpet of snow as far as you can see and considered one of the largest snowdrop displays in Europe. There is also a collection of over 85 rare cultivars of Galanthus throughout the borders in the formal garden surrounding the Queen Anne House, many available to buy.

At Welford Park there are lovely walks along the River Lambourn, dividing the natural ancient marsh and woodlands from the immaculate lawns in front of the house, made famous by the Great British Bake Off. There is a large Tea Tent serving delicious light lunches, hot drinks and renowned homemade cakes as well as The Gift Shop selling unique “snowdrop” gifts exclusive to Welford Park and supporting local artists.

Wednesday 1 February to Sunday 5 March 2023

Gates open 11am. Last admission 4pm. Car Park locked at 5:30pm.

Closed Monday & Tuesday

Adults: £12, Concessions: £10 (£18 for 2 concessions) Children 4 – 15 yrs £4.50, Children under 4 free, Family (2 adults & 2 under 15yrs) £25.

Disabled access, dogs on leads welcome. No picnics please!
