Summer Activity Days: Helmet at the Ready!
By Shaw House
Using felt tip pens and self-adhesive acrylic gems, make and decorate a helmet mask that is similar in style to a three barred or lobster pot helmet worn by the cavalry of both sides during the Civil War.
This summer’s crafts are all linked to the seventeenth century and the Civil War in particular.
At each session, you will be given a craft pack and everything in the pack will be yours to keep and take home to reuse on other craft activities.
There will also be a new House trail based around the 17th century and ‘Dressed for Battle’ exhibition, and an outdoor Farmyard Farm Hunt!
Places are limited to 15 children. Session times: 10am, 11am, and 12pm (45 mins)
Aimed at 7-11 year olds, but younger and older children are welcome. An adult must remain with the child at all times; if possible, one accompanying adult per child only.
