By California Department of Fish and Wildlife

About the Event

REGISTER HERE to receive an advanced screening opportunity of the CDFW Recruit, Retain, Reactivate (R3) team's video recording: An Introduction to Trout Fishing: A Beginner’s Look at Technique, Etiquette, Species Management and the Heritage Trout Challenge.

In this huddle you will meet CDFW’s Nick Buckmaster, Michael Mamola and Lee Duckwall. Each will provide insight and education into the different trout species found in California and how to harvest them. Duckwall will also provide background on the CDFW Heritage Trout Challenge and how you can participate to win prizes and bragging rights.

Provide your email and answer a few basic questions and the R3 team will send you an advance screening link to watch the Introduction to Trout Fishing video recording before it is released to the public.

R3H3 is a casual, recorded videocast intended for beginning adult audiences new to hunting, fishing, shooting sports and foraging. You're welcome to watch if you're not a beginner but may find the information a bit basic. Feel free to share the huddle with anyone you think may benefit from its information.

All previous R3H3 events are available on the CDFW R3 webpage under the "California's Wild Kitchen" tab (https://wildlife.ca.gov/r3).
