Kootenai County Farmers’ Markets’ (KCFM) annual Fall Festival on Saturday, September 24, is fun for the whole family! From 9am to 1:30pm, KCFM and their vendors will be celebrating fall and harvest season with free coffee, hot cider, soup, pastries, face and pumpkin painting, and scarecrow making for kids and kids-at- heart. There will also be apples, pears, winter squash, dried flowers, corn stalks, fall decorations, local wines and live music, all under the pines. Bid on over $1000 of goodies and gift certificates donated by vendors for a silent auction to benefit KCFM’s Double Up Bucks Food Program. It’s going to be a great day at the Market!

The Double Up Bucks Food Program non-profit program providing low-income Americans who receive SNAP benefits with a one-to- one match to purchase healthy, locally grown fruits and vegetables at the Market. Since 1986, KCFM has provided North Idaho with a lively array of local products, and they have over 100 vendors who are committed to the fresh, local fruits, vegetables and foods they produce. Come support local vendors, meet the farmers and enjoy the tasty fruits of their labor.
