"We won’t heal until we all remember to sing, drum, and dance.” — Spokane Tribal Elder
The Spokane Symphony and the Spokane Tribe of Indians invite the community to come celebrate with us at this free event. The event will be held at the Antoine Andrews Memorial Hall on the Spokane Tribal Pow-Wow grounds, located at the intersection of Ford-Wellpinit Road and Sherwood Loop Road - 1 mile East of Wellpinit’s ‘downtown.’ The performance features a student play, Goat Moccasins, narrated in Salish, and Salish Singing by tribal students. The orchestra will play music selections by Mozart, Vivaldi, Beethoven, Rossini and Tchaikovsky. The evening will conclude with a cultural exchange featuring Drumming and Dancing.
