NYC Pride: WorldPride Mural Project
NYC Pride, the official host of WorldPride 2019 | Stonewall 50, is thrilled
to announce the WorldPride Mural Project initiative, in collaboration with
production and curation partner, public art charity LISA Project NYC,
founding partner, HSBC Bank, and major supporter, Macy’s. Both local and
international artists, 50 in total, were selected to create murals within
the five boroughs of New York that reflect and honor the beauty, struggle,
and strides of the LGBTQIA+ community. Over the course of May and mid-June,
the complete set of murals will be unveiled, culminating before the
WorldPride 2019 | Stonewall 50 season commences and remaining intact
throughout the duration of the month's celebration.

As part of this programming, the LISA Project NYC, with the help of the
real-estate developers, business and building owners of Staten Island, is
looking to paint three doors, three gates, three street level walls in any
combination, so long as the public has access to view the work and all
parties agree on an artist. There will be tours all summer long starting in
early June to art installation locations and the full list of mural
locations will be available for viewing at .
The murals are approved by you, via a mock-up and can be temporary. All
installation costs and artist fees are covered by the LISA Project NYC. The
charity would come back to restore the space to its original state.

If you would like to volunteer your storefront gate, door or street level
wall for this project, please reach out to Wayne Rada, Executive Director
of the LISA Project NYC by emailing: or by calling 917-653-1994.
