6th Grade Confirmation

Fall 2022 | Sundays in The ROCK | 11 a.m.

When students begin to move from concrete thinking to abstract thinking, that is when many begin to make lifelong faith decisions. This is a time when students are seeking a sense of belonging and belonging to the community of faith is a great step. Confirmation is the opportunity for sixth graders to “confirm” the faith handed down to them by their families.

Confirmation is an intentional spiritual formation program that takes 6th graders through the history, practices, and beliefs of the Christian faith from a United Methodist perspective. Classes will guide each student in professing their belief in Jesus Christ and helping them understand what it means to be a member of White’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

Parent orientation and a fun day for confirmands will be on Sunday, August 21 after church.

Sixth graders have the option of beginning classes on Sunday, August 28 at 11 a.m. or Wednesday, August 31 at 6 p.m. Students only attend one class per week.

This experience ends with a service in which the students will be welcomed into full membership at White’s Chapel on Sunday, November 13.
