Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age

Thursday, Jan. 20 | 6:30 p.m. | Rawlins Hall

Are you watching kids scroll through life, with their rapid-fire thumbs and a six-second attention span? Physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston saw that happening with her own kids, and it started her on a quest to delve into how this trend might affect their development. Through poignant, and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, “Screenagers” reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and also offers solutions on how adults can empower their kids to best navigate the digital world to find balance.

Join White’s Chapel UMC and a panel of experts as we screen this important film and discuss the way it affects our kids, their relationships, and our relationships with them. Doors open at 6 p.m. The film will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m., with a panel discussion to follow. Dinner and refreshments will be served. Registration is required. We look forward to seeing you there!
