Coleman House at 677 Winchester St. kicks off its fall semester of the Wednesday Program for Senior Learners on October 4. We are excited to offer seniors a chance to gather in person to meet new people and explore their community! This six-week program focuses on lifelong learning for seniors and offers classses in fitness, art, politics, science, history and culture, as well as entertainment and lunch! The program fee for six weeks is $85 including lunch. Educational sessions for Fall 2023 include explorations of the Gullah Geechee culture of the American South, Allied Propaganda of WWII, and the historic Jewish experience in Rome. Later in the afternoons, we will celebrate Oktoberfest with acclaimed accordionist Sonny Arbato, move to the rhythms of Latin Jazz with Combo Sabroso, and discover opera with Madeline Metraux, a 15 year-old vocal virtuoso.
