Virtual Village: Pueblo Levee Mural Project
By El Pueblo History Museum

Join for free on June 25

The Pueblo Levee Mural Project started in the mid-70's with a dream to change the levee into a 3.5 mile long concrete canvas. It has since transformed over the decades from accomplishing the goal and has gone from breaking a Guinness World Record for longest mural in the world to a clean canvas. The project has been revived and onlookers can find several new murals decorating the Pueblo levee today.

Project leader, Cynthia Ramu, will join us for this Virtual Village to discuss the project along with several of the levee artist, both past and present. We will hear about the many changes the levee has undergone and how the Pueblo Levee Mural Project has transformed the levee that was once a reminder of one of Pueblo's darkest moments in history to a beautiful, lasting community project.
