Celebrated author, Robin Wall Kimmerer will discuss her bestselling book Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants. Drawing on her life as an indigenous scientist, a mother, and a woman, Kimmerer shows how other living beings—asters and goldenrod, strawberries and squash, salamanders, algae, and sweetgrass—offer us gifts and lessons, even if we’ve forgotten how to hear their voices. A book signing will follow her presentation.
In-person tickets are available with complimentary onsite childcare available for children ages 6-12.
Please use the discount code Access40 if you experience financial hardship and the price of the ticket is a barrier to your participation (i.e. students, no or low income households).
