Borderlands expert Karen Roybal shares her groundbreaking scholarship on the impact of colonization, Westward expansion, and the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo on women’s rights in Colorado. Dr. Roybal’s work has used innovative research methods to recover women’s histories often erased from the archives. This presentation coincides with the opening of the exhibit More Than Place: Colorado, Women, and Land at El Pueblo History Museum.

In-person and livestream tickets are available with complimentary onsite childcare available for children ages 6-12.
