Bottles, Cans & Plastics Recycling

Rinse plastic, glass and metal recyclables clean and put into your dedicated recycling container that is stickered on both sides with "Huntington Recycles" decals. The container, when full, should be no more than 50 lbs. Lids and caps are recyclable but should be removed before placing in recycling container. Place your covered recycling container curbside on days indicated by this calendar. Recycling should not be put out in plastic bags, it should be loose in your recycling container.

Acceptable Glass, Metal and Plastic Recyclables Include:



  • Food and beverage cans

  • Plastic food & beverage containers

  • Unsoiled disposable aluminum pans & aluminum foil

  • Wine beverage, liquor and juice bottles

  • Food jars

  • Shampoo and detergent bottles

  • All plastic food, soap & beverage containers with Resin Codes 1 – 7 are accepted.


Do Not Put these Contaminants In Your Recycling Bin:



  • Plastic bags and plastic wrap

  • Plastic toys

  • Hangers

  • Aerosol cans

  • Flower pots & plant containers

  • Ceramic items

  • Oil cans

  • Light bulbs

  • Mirrors and plate glass

  • Durable cookware & Tupperware

  • Empty paint cans

  • Plastic items without a resin code symbol.
