Black Maternal Health Week Celebration

Black Maternal Health Week

Held annually on April 11-17th, BMHW is a week-long campaign founded and led by the Black Mamas Matter Alliance to build awareness, activism, and community-building to amplify the voices, perspectives and lived experiences of Black Mamas and birthing people.

This year’s theme for Black Maternal Health Week is “Our Bodies Belong to Us: Restoring Black Autonomy and Joy!”

What better way to celebrate and inspire a commitment to bodily autonomy then with education, education provided by community experts and delivered with love.

Experience a Day of Awareness and Education with Arizona Birthworkers of Color!

Bring in your current birth plan to be reviewed and enhanced by our community’s pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experts. Don’t have a birth plan? No clue what it is? Let us help you make one.

This is event is also for community members who are in the preconception stage as well. Start your journey to a safe and healthy birth now!

All taught by Black Midwives, Doulas, Childbirth Educators, Lactation Consultants and other Professionals.

Lunch will be served, and we are going to have a lot of fun!
