Halloween Storytelling Dinner the Tradition continues…
October 30 and 31
Grant’s Woods at The Settlers Inn
Who, who, who is joining us in the woods?? The annual storytelling dinner is moving outside this year. Follow the path of carved pumpkins to Grant’s Woods where you will feel the glow of a multitude of artistic pumpkins and the roar of the fire for warmth and fellowship. The air will be chilly and we suggest you bundle up in layers to stay warm. Dress as if you were attending a tail gate on a cool fall day. Hot cider will warm you and a nip of spirits will add to the fire’s glow. Marcia Dunsmore, a talented cook and baker and former Settlers Inn partner will collaborate with Chef Kate to create a fun and festive array of hot and hearty soups and stews, with lots of Marcia’s crusty breads from Myrtle Avenue Bakehouse. Toe tapping bluegrass music by Shawn and David, the Dishonest Duo, will liven up the woods. The stories will immediately follow dinner.
Neil Genzlinger will keep you spellbound with his entertaining tales of aliens, fear and mirth. By day Neil writes for the New York Times currently at the obit desk and previously was a television, film and theater critic for the Times. He also writes stories that he has performed at Moth events.
And yes, he is Grant’s brother.
Join us for this special evening in Grant’s Woods. Social distancing will be practiced.
