Skate Exchange Event
By z. Public Health Sudbury

Do you have extra skates or need skates? If so, check out our Skate Exchange program.

The Skate Exchange program can provide you, a friend, or family member with a free pair of skates in order to have fun and get active this winter.

The Skate Exchange is a successful community partner program established in 2002. Each year the public can drop off their gently-used skates at designated areas throughout the community. Skate Exchange Committee partners and volunteers redistribute the collected skates free of charge on specific skate exchange days to families, children, youth and community agencies. You do not have to donate a pair of skates in order to pick a pair up.

Skates are given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
Sizes and quantities vary.

The Skate Exchange may be cancelled, with a minimum of twelve hours’ notice, if there is a severe winter storm, or if temperatures of -20oC or colder are forecasted for the day of the event. Cancellation information will be posted on the City of Greater Sudbury Facebook page as well as Public Health Sudbury & Districts’ Facebook page and Twitter account.

For more information, call 705.522.9200, ext. 257.
